PSSOH Conference

PSSOH stands for Applicaton of Free Software and Open Hardware. In Serbian: "Primena slobodnog softvera i otvorenog hardvera".
PSSOH is organized by University of Belgrade - School of Electrical Engineering.


PyCon Balkan Conference (news from March 28, 2019)

PyCon Balkan is an annual conference, organized by Python Belgrade Organization, that takes place in the Balkan region since 2018.
PyCon Balkan 2019 will be held on Oct. 3-5, in Hilton hotel, in Belgrade, Serbia.
The conference will consist of over 30 talks and workshops held over a 3 days period. The speakers and attendees come from all over the world, and with a wide variety of subjects being covered, a truly global mindset has become a landmark of our community.

Open Data Challenge by UNDP (news from January 12, 2019)

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with Office for IT and e-Government announce Open Data Challenge in order to solicitate innovative ideas, based on the open data released by the public institutions, and available on the National Open Data Portal ( Three chalanges are announced.
Due date for application is February 28, 2019.

PSSOH 2018 Postconference Events

First PSSOH 2018 conference included two postconference lectures and
one postconference course (All postconference events were free of charge!):

  1. Course on "R for data science" (beginner level) was held by Assist. Prof. Nadica Miljković
    (course materials are available on GitHub)
  2. Lecture titled "Copyright and free licences for researchers" was held by Milica Ševkušić, Senior Librarian
    (presentation is available at Zenodo)
  3. Lecture titled "Introduction to Python with applications in electrical measurements" was held by Prof. Predrag Pejović

Mission & vision

Our aim is to promote application of free software and open hardware. In addition, we would like to point to the role and representation of women in electrical engineering and computer science.

Date & time

The first PSSOH conference consists of invited lectures and lasts for one day.
PSSOH will be held at the main building of the ETF on Saturday October 13, 2018, room 61 (ground floor).
