PSSOH 2024 (news from April 27, 2024)

As part of the student practice and for the requirements of video editing for the PSSOH conferece, Master student at the University of Belgrade - School of Electrical Engineering Nikolina Škorić wrote a manual for video editing with free software. The manual is available at Zenodo.

Mission & vision

Our aim is to promote application of free software and open hardware, and to point to the role and representation of women in electrical engineering and computer science. We adhere to the LibrePlanet Mission Statement and Code of Conduct that are in line with our goals and attitudes (Serbian translation: 10.5281/zenodo.1421274).


Date & time

The seventh PSSOH conference consists of invited lectures and lasts for one day.
PSSOH will be held at the main building of the ETF on Saturday October 12, 2024.

Meta-science - how to improve science using science

"Across scientific fields, evidence of low reproducibility of scientific findings accumulated. These concerns increased the need to develop and improve the field of meta-science - a discipline investigating scientific processes, methods, and interventions aimed at improving science. In this talk, I will present the current state of affairs in the meta-research, focusing on the reproducibility of scientific findings, and changes that were made on the individual, structural and community level aimed to decrease the credibility crisis."
